Happy Holiday Weekend

Hi . I am sorry I haven't been able to post any pictures lately, my daughter and I share a camera and she left in her bag at a friends house that we have not been able to get to yet. So I have things to share but I am not able to do it. I really love to visit other blogs and see pictures of what people are working on or just to see their photography, so I am frustrated that I can not share yet, but hopefully soon.

I feel the change in the season: the colors, the air is crisper, the wind is cooler, the bugs(crickets chirping, spiders making webs), squirrels and chipmunks gathering food, and of course the sun is setting sooner. It always makes me settle down and think about life. I think it's because I've had so many major changes in my life in the fall, it's my time of refelction. But I do TRUELY love fall.

Winters nice too but really I can do without the weather that I have to drive in. Thankfully my job is only 1 mile from my home, it used to be 25 miles but I changed that, it was so stressful and I felt I was wasting so much of my time driving. I wish everyone's job could only be 1 mile from their home for them, but some people do like the drive, I guess it's their alone time.

Right now I'm watching the cat go crazy, running all over the place, which she will soon settle down for her nap.

I hope you have a great day and I will post pictures as soon as I am able,

Love Donna

Hi

What another beautiful day, I have housework to do and more stitching.

I just designed a new pattern and I can't wait to stitch it. I'm almost finished with "Outline Art Christmas Pack #2".

My other new design will be called "Around The Robins Nest". I have seen birds everywhere lately so I figure that's my sign.

I also found wool work to be my other new love,

So off to my stitching (and of course the housework).

Oh one more note that I think you should check out. Gigi's Blog. What a beautiful job with the Prairie Schooler Santas and Christmas designs. The picture speaks for itself. Please check it out!

I will post more pictures soon,

Donna

My first penny rug table top

i thought i would share my first penny rug.
the color in the photo is off, i finished it yesterday and i love it.
i made it to fit an antique table that i had and i wanted the tongues to hang down so i put buttons on them. it was fun but i didn't do good at matching all the tongues, so in the back there are a couple that overlap. you can't see it, just me. on my next one i will have to work on that.

it's such a beautifil day, it seems everyone is out but me. i'm here blogging and reading my magazine. church was good this morning,
we had Tim Janis with his musicians and singers. it was inspiring.

maybe i can go church some day without shedding a tear but maybe thats the day i'm not paying attention. the older i become the more emotional i am.

talk to you again soon

More on Etsy

Hi everyone, I just spent most of the day with my daughter taking her cloths shopping. I was well prepared and had alot of patience. I wanted to go to the book store (My favorite place) but she was in a rush, so I quickly ran in and out, but I did get to take a look around. I found a magazine that was all about Artful Blogging by Summerset Studio. It looks great. I need to go to the store and pick up some coffee so I can sit with my new magazine. My quiet time. I did post some new items on my Etsy shop, just things that I need to let go of, I am a sharer(So I've been told).
Have a great day, Donna
And thanks to Teejay I can now link a site to my post. Thank you

What A Nice Day

Hi, What a nice day. The breeze is so cool and the sun is out. At church this morning the pastor had us meditate. He said we need time to slow down and be still, so thats what he had us do. And last week I picked up a book on meditation at the library and my daughter started taking yoga. I love it when everything flows into place.

Yesterday I had my first sale on my Etsy shop. I was thrilled.

I finished framing my new design called "Gathering Place Sampler". It should be out in a couple of weeks. I love all the birds gathering in the trees and the sheep below and the idea of friends gathering for tea(or stitching time) at one of the homes.

I also finished my Merry Christmas ring tag, here is a picture of the back of it and the front. I think next time I shouldn't block the space for the eyelet because it puckered and you can tell.

Well have a great day

Caleb

Hi, I wanted to post some pictures of some things I'm working on. I have a stumpwork mermaid with tons of dreadlocks, a design called "The Gathering Place", A Christmas ring tag for a friend, and a sneek peak of Outline Art Christmas Pack #2, But!!!, My daughter took the camera to the fireworks this evening, Soooooo!! The pictures will have to wait until Wednesday because I am going to my mothers to visit. But I have a picture that I found on my computer of an elf that I named "Caleb". I made him a few years ago when I was into making fairys and other fairy tale creatures. Until Wednesday, have a great night , Donna
