Things Change & Added Beatrice & Camilla

So I never got to make my Shrinky Dinks yet. The weather was awful when I came home. We lost power until 10:00pm. So no stitching, reading, or computer time. But I am thankful we got our power back, there are so many people still without. We had what seemed to be mini tornado's, a ton of trees down, streets closed and a huge mess. I worked yesterday with no power taking care of babies, really not cool.
But on to other things.
I posted on the side bar the added "Beatrice" and "Camilla" to my Funky Flowers Garden Sampler.
Just have to frame them and then I will get them out to market too.
I stopped by Yankee Cross Stitch on Thursday and dropped of the models of Halloween Cove and Annabelle. So if you would like to see them check it out and she changed the shop around. I just love change it makes things look so new.
Have to take hubby to the hospital this morning, should take a few hours (I have plenty of stitching time).
Have a great day

  1. This weather is scary, isn't it? We had what might have been a mini tornado close to my son's school the other day. A few years ago, there was a real tornado right outside my husband's work. We don't live in tornado country -- shouldn't happen! I'm glad the power came back for you and all are safe.

Love the funky flowers so far! This is going to be a fun piece!! It would make a great quilt too!

    Hi Donna,
Thanks for dropping off the new patterns. I am totally hooked on the funky flowers. I want to stitch them as one piece but when looking at the chart there isn't a border. I can figure that out but what color should I use?

    talk to you soon, Erica

  3. Donna, I'm glad to hear that you came through the storms relatively unscathed. Although, I feel for you caring for little ones without power!! Beatrice and Camilla are lovely.

  4. Hi Erica,
I havent really made a chart for the finishing. I just made a border around the designs right at the edges of 42 X 70. Then I just spaced them together except that the horizontals have a space of 2 plain squares between the bolcks of flowers, but on the verticals I have them touching each other. So if its 70 wide and added a border that would be 72 wide for each. A liitle math ugh!! And the color that I used on my garden sampler is DMC 834. I was planning on having no borders on mine. I was just going to leave a blank space between each flower design and maybe a border of cross stitching just around the outside edge of the whole thing. Well those are my ideas for today. hope it hekps a little.
