Stitch An Inch Fall Sale and a Challenge

Happy Friday!!

I shared yesterday on Instagram a picture of my Affirmation Word Wall Hanging that I made a few years ago.

Still working on adding treasures to this section :)

I Gave the Affirmation Words away with the newsletters.

These Affirmation words will be available sometime in the future in the Etsy shop as a whole group.

This piece inspired me to make another one but this time it is for Fall.

I used the "Stitch An Inch Fall Ornis" cross stitch pattern and stitched up a few motifs.

I gathered some buttons, small crochet pieces I had and I am on a search for more little doodads in my shopping expeditions!!

So this is a work in Progress but this is what I have to date

Meet "Miss Autumn"

I have a challenge for you, 

I CHALLENGE YOU to Create your own Wall hanging made with cross stitching and some of your favorite treasures. But you must use some of the motifs from the chart "Stitch An Inch Fall Ornis".

I will give you a month to complete it....

so on Monday  October 7th The By The Bay Crew (Hubby, Meagan and Me)

will decide who the lucky winner is.

You will have to send me a  picture by email that I can use to share in Social Media....

......and to start you off I am having the chart "Stitch An Inch Fall Ornies" on Sale for this week only.

This design has 16 Autumn motifs that can be stitched on 28ct over 1 to make them into a one inch design or on 14ct Aida and they will be 2 inches in size. 

The regular price is $12.00 but until Friday Sept 13th the design will be offered for $8.00.

The chart is available as a PDF and also as a hard copy for mailing.

And Just one more thought!!

In the Spring I am planning to have a small retreat/class and it will be to make a 

Summer Time multi media wall hanging similar to these.

I just love being able to add small treasures and make an original little piece of Me!!.

Just a quick note that I will be out of the office from Aug 14th to Aug 19th, so the Etsy shop will be on Holiday!! Happy July :)

Who can think about winter.....not me but many people are stitching in July for the Season....

Pincushions Have Arrived..and I'm taking a poll

Happy Weekend!!

The Pincushions are in the Etsy shop!!

I made these all by hand, I crocheted the doilies and flowers, I collected the Seashells, cut, glued, stuffed etc.....HAHA It was fun, I did make these a while ago but they are in the shop this weekend

They are all one of a Kind

And guess what?????

I just finished designing the NEW SAL for this year....

It will Start in September!!

I am so excited because it was so much work and I dont think you can guess what it is exactly.

But I Do have a question?

Do you prefer to stitch on at 14ct Aida/28ct linen, or a 16ct Aida/32ct linen,

I myself prefer a 28ct linen.....It is more enjoyable for me if I can see what I am stitching without using special lights and a huge magnifier.

Please leave me a comment so I can tally up your preference.

Rainy day again.

It's a rainy day again...but at least we should have some pretty happy flowers when they bloom. Ive been working on a new SAL. I'm excited to share it but still more designing to do. Here's a hint "4 s_a_o_n's" HAHA

Stitch An inch SAL

I have finally finished the taxes, Yeah!! and I was on time !!

Now I will have more time for stitching and planning...so I just made photos available for the SAL and here they are...

We are on month #4 which will be released in 2 days "Lemon N Lime"

but here is a recap of what has been released so far

The Garden Patches did not want to flip over for me...oh well haha!!

maybe another day they will.....

Good Day, 

I guess it is suppose to be spring but I think we are suppose to get some snow...

Oh well, its ok...Gives me more time to stitch....

This is a quick note that Harbor Haven is available in the Etsy Shop

Scenes 1-8 and next month will be scenes 9 and 10

...then one more month and they will be all available...Yeah!!

Ruby and Addison Kits and PDF's in the Shop

I have a quick post for you...There are PDF's an Kits available in the Shop for Ruby and Addison...

There is a limited # of Kits available but if you miss out on one of these there are some PDF's available...These Spring time flowers can be stitched as Crewel/Embroidery or punch needle too, 

I am working on a few Needlepoint flower kits too....Summer is coming and what a great way to keep busy.....Just stitch away!!

Newsletter post about Ruby

The Bible says that

"There is nothing new under the sun,

what was old has become new again" Ecclesiastes 1:9

And so it goes....

my old love for embroidery has become new again!

It feels liberating ....no counting :)

But it is not the end of cross stitch designing

but the beginning of an added line......a new Adventure!!

Now this is where I am going...

I admire rug hookers, the way they can create by choosing their own colors, fibers along with dimensions and techniques.

All this by only looking at a colored image and some have no color guide just their own creative ideas. 

I am creating some kits with this in mind...

Flowers are one of my Loves and that is my plan to start.

The kits will have the fibers I used and stitch suggestion will be given but it will not be a "Step by Step" instruction Kit.

Not a Kit for beginners

but for the Adventuresome.

Stitching freely should be enjoyed and exciting.

The kits will be limited but there will be PDF's available.

If you purchase the PDF keep in mind that you will be choosing your own colors, fibers and stitches.

These designs would also be great for Punch Needle.

I do suggest how many shades you will need for colors....example:

for a flower I might suggest 3 shades.

On the diagram I will tell you where I placed the (L) light, (M) Medium, and (D) dark shades.

Color choice is all up to you. There are so many wonderful thread and fiber companies out there

........so the "World of Fibers" is your oyster!! HAHA!!
