What A Week

Sorry I have no pictures to share today but I will on Sunday evening.
It has been quite a week.
My daughter had her wisdom teeth out (all 4) and she was in such pain for a few days. One of her cheeks is black n blue. Poor thing!!
I did get some water in the shop on the floor but nothing terrible. It only got my Claire Murray rug a little wet. And a few other things going on that we don't need to talk about. Ugh!!!. But such is life and things make us stronger. I love what Mother Teressa Said
"I know God won't give me anything I can't handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much."
Mother Teresa
Well I am to the shop for the day with my head in a million directions. One of my thoughts is about needlepoint. I am contemplating painting some of my own canvases. They would have to be one of a kinds because I couldn't think of painting the same design over and over again. And then I only want to carry one line of fibers for them because I am just starting and I don't have tons of room, so which line to choose? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would carry 18ct and 13ct so the fibers would have to be divisible so I could use them on both canvases.
Thank you for reading my ramblings and I will share more photos tomorrow.
Have a good day

Another peek and too much snow on the roof!!!

Here is another peek at my whaling picture.
I got a call today telling me that there were fireman and policeman at the building were the shop is. So I went to check it out and there appears to be to much snow on the roof. The ceiling tiles are falling in the shop next door and the awnings are pulling from the building. The firemen were there to brace them and board up the glass that might break under the pressure. So they are bracing my side too and I don't know if I can open tomorrow or not. We will have to wait and see. I'm sure it will be OK.

I will let you know more tomorrow,
Have a good night

Still working on "New England Whaling Waters" and I am having fun. I post another peek this weekend. See my Bailey. She wanted to be in the picture too. She is all over me when I stitch.

Sneak Peek @ New England Whaling Waters

I have been working for a couple of hours on the clouds in this design. I am having fun with it. I think it will look old but still a little funky. I also updated my other blog By The Bay Trunk Shows with more of my designs and the info like fabric, floss, and stitch count.
Off to stitch more and put dinner in the oven.
Have a good night

And the winner is !!!!!!

And the winner is KIMV
I waited until last night to draw the name. I cut up all of those papers and let my daughter pick one. Then we played scrabble until late. She beat me!!
I am on my way into the shop to put the "Let Love Soar" kits together and then I will post them this evening after work on my Etsy.
I hope you have a great day and thank you for all of the comments you left :)
I am stitching a new design and I will put up some peeks this weekend when I have more to share. But here is a hint "Thar She Blows"

Free Kit Raffle - To chase away the winter chills

Hi everyone,
It has been very quiet at the shop lately. I guess everyone is staying home trying to keep warm. Don't blame them. But today I had a very nice customer that made my day. It was Valarie from here in Maine and I was so excited to see someone. I think I showed her all of the things I am working on.
One of them is a kit called "Let Love Soar". I have been amazed at all of the crafts that are becoming so popular. Maybe its because of the Internet and blogs that everyone can share so much more and get tons of ideas.
This kit has a few of those things. I dyed the 25ct Lugana fabric with a little RITZ and water in a spray bottle. I used a brown, green, and a yellow. Also included is a piece of wool for the heart, a few beads to secure, and some card stock stamped wings to add some dimension, and of course floss for the cross stitching. You just need the needle for cross stitching and a beading needle.
You can make a little of your own altered art with this quick little kit.
I will be selling them on my Etsy shop starting Tuesday and I will be giving one away on Tuesday.
So just leave me a comment for your chance to win and no anonymous ones please because I need to be able to get in touch with you if you are the lucky one.
Hope this will help keep some winter blahs away.
Have a good night
