A Story behind this design and name....
I live in York Maine and I have heard of Brave Boat Harbor but never looked up
its history. I did find some interesting things about it ...here is a snippet
of something I found.....
"Back in the 1600s, Brave Boat Harbor was a significant discovery for the
explorers and early settlers who first came here. The shallow harbor provided
safe anchorage from the angry Atlantic. But the entrance is narrow, and the
surf makes passage tricky. Hence, only brave boats dared to enter." taken
from The Maniacal Traveler
and so here is my little story for this design and my Hope for you....
“This Lone Sailboat is making the trek through the stormy waves in this narrow
harbor….it certainly is Brave. Just as we are going through these testing and
trying times may we be just as Brave as we Look forward to our Blessed Hope
with Peace and Calm!!”
PS" it was hard to take a picture of the model with glass in the frame, I
usually do not use glass in my frames but with this frame the glass just would
not come out...it was glued in :( , so there appears to be a line under the
birds...it's just a reflection.
The chart should be ready in about 2 weeks. Happy Summer Stitching and I do have two Autumn designs in my Hoop!!!
Have a nice summer day
