Sneak Peek Project Book
Here is a quick peek at what I've been working on all week. Can't say anymore just yet. The rain finally stopped, yeh!!
New Idea
Good Morning,
I have an idea for a project book that is made from Felted Wool. I've been working on it all week and I can't wait to share a sneak peek. I do have to wait for my daughter to come home, she was at a sleep over and of course has the camera again. I'm on my way to church and maybe this afternoon I will be able to share a photo. Can't wait. Oh what a rainy weekend, but I'm loving it. I do get so much more done on my projects, and it is so relaxing to not have to go out and do a million errands.

Pin Cushion class I will teach
Hi
I just thought I would post a picture of a class I am going to teach
@ Yankee Cross Stitch. It's a pincushion that I made. I love to work with wool and thought I would share this with others. I'm going to teach it Oct 18, Check with the shop for more details and also that same day I'm going to teach a class on how to frame "Joy" like I did with the wool felt. Maybe I'll see some of you.
I'm also working on a wool felt project needle book, it's still in my head but I'm getting the supplies ready (that's half the fun).
On my way to Joanne Fabrics.
Talk to you again,
Donna

New idea for "Sisterhood" Round Robins
Good morning,
I just wanted to share an idea regarding the "Me Myself & I Round Robin" that I ran by Vonna first (just my Sisterhood idea, not the MM&IRR: that awesome idea is hers).
My local needlework shop is Yankee Cross Stitch in North Hampton NH and I thought it would be a great idea if we developed a "Sisterhood Of The Me Myself & I RR". We are planning on having our "Town Meeting" there once a month, sharing our progress, ideas, some treats, and of course making friends. We are going to have a special sale day for all the construction people that have signed up with us, and also for every 4 "Town Meetings" you attend we will have a punch card and you will receive a special gift and a shopping treat.
We are so excited to start this and we are following Vonnas rules, and not starting until Dec 31, 2008. We are encouraging everyone that signs up with us to sign up with Vonna also on her blog.
This is just an idea I thought I would pass on and maybe you can run it by your local needlework shop and see if they are interested in also having "Town Meetings".
If any of the shops have any ?'s they can contact me @ stitchbythebay@aol.com and we can share ideas.
Good luck and maybe we can all have a huge "Sisterhood Meeting" next year.

New Finish To Joy
Good morning everyone.
I worked last night on a new finish to "Joy". I was tired of just another frame and since I like to work with wool I thought I would try it. I cut a whole bunch of leaves out and hand sewed them onto a background piece of felted wool that I had already sewed "Joy" onto. I layered them and then gathered some red circles and sewed those down. I also quilted around the candle. I like the look. One picture is with a flash and the other is without. Couldn't decide which one I liked.
Until later, Donna

Almost finished new design
Hi everyone,
I'm almost finished with "Around The Robins Nest". I'm just working on the borders and should be done tomorrow.
I'm been thinking of my project for the Me Myself & I Round Robin. I want to do a marsh in the design with some cranes and lots of other birds. I just have so many thoughts going on in there I need to get them out and onto paper.
Well I have to go,lots to do. So have a good night and I'll post that picture as soon as I can.

New Pictures
Here are some quick pictures I just took. I am not finished with so much yet but I am trying.
One is a picture of one of the designs on "Outline Art Christmas Pack #2" There are 2 more designs with this pattern but I have to do the finishing.
The other pictures are of my other new design, not yet finished called "Around The Robins Nest".
I have been inspired by so many round robin neighborhoods I thought I would design this one and I've been stitching it for about a month, And it just so happens that there is a new blog called "Me Myself & I Round Robins" I just joined and I welcome you to check out the link and see if you are interested.
I'll write again soon, Donna
An early Christmas gift to all stitchers. Free Chart
Hi every one. I have tried all day to get this to print right, Just double click on the chart and you should be able to print by pressing your printer icon.
It's my free chart to you to stitch for your friends.
So please stitch this for your own personal use and not for resale. Just had to say that, not sure why, I don't believe anyone would say it was theirs and sell it anyway. But its free from me to you.
It should look like this when finished, I've posted it before. Please finish it better than me. Finishing projects is not my best subject. I love to stitch but after that I'm done. Have Fun
Happy Holidays to come.
Love
Donna
Here are the directions for the colors I used.
Please note that the words are done in 733
Inside the roses and leaves I used some Weeks Dye Works that I had at home, I don’t remember the colors so please use whatever color you like to fill in the flowers and the leaves. I also did the centers of them over 1 but you can do them over 2. I made alot of eyelets inside. I just love the lacy look.
Good luck and please experiment.
Donna
I couldn't get the symbols to print in this blog format so I explained what they are
DMC
White * small dot
498 * Open window
730 * Black square
733 * Question Mark
