Strawberry Hill Sneak Peek
That was a long lunch! HAHA. Not really. I fell asleep with my grandson for his afternoon nap.
Here are the pictures I promised. I am just waiting for the frame from Valley House Primitives, and then off to the printer and it will be released.
Have a good evening

Model of Strawberry Hill just finished
Good Morning everyone. I just finished Strawberry Hill. I am so happy. I loved stitching it. It has some french knots and Rhodes stitches along with beads. I just love the texture. But you can always just stitch cross stitches in these areas if you do not like other stitches. Oh well lunch is ready. I will post some peeks after lunch.

Look What I found Growing On My Tree!!
I found the biggest strawberries ever growing on my tree. Stitching tree that is. I have been working on "Strawberry Hill" . I also finished the mirror image of my free bunny. I just have to sew them together, turn stuff and add some flowers to the basket. Cant wait to work on that. I hope you like the sneak peek of the strawberries. I still have to add the dark seeds.!!
Hope you all had a nice St Patricks Day.

Send Hope To Haiti Chart
Hi Everyone
I wanted to share with you a design that I made to sell for relief for Haiti. It took me a while to stitch only because I have been busy but it should stitch up really quick.
The whole idea is for YOU to make it into a pocket and hang on your wall. Teach your family to put change in it and on a certain day every week or month count it together and send the money to a relief program of your choice. As a family that would be a great reward.
The whole idea for ME is to send $5.00 from the sale of each chart to the American Red Cross for Haiti relief. There are long term needs for these people and anything we can do will be such a great help.
I will be distributing these on my Etsy shop. So if you feel this is a good idea for your family please check it out. I dont have any posted yet because the charts are not available until Thursday. So please check back.
Thank You
So Much

Looking 4 Your Thoughts
For years now I’ve been considering expanding the business to include an innovative stitching retreat. Well, no more procrastinating….I’m ready
We are planning on having a retreat here on the beautiful York Maine seacoast. To make the retreat a little bit different we are planning on including a diverse array of the various fiber arts. Such as counted cross stitch, quilting, rug hooking, knitting and punch needle and maybe wool work. (the class’s will be taught by industry leaders)
We are considering including activities for our spouses (should you consider to bring them), such as a guided fishing trip. The resort we are considering is absolutely beautiful and located within walking distance of pristine beach’s, harbors, and shopping. The resort itself offers a restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, a full spa, game room, and a movie theater. To top it all off we plan on concluding the retreat with a good Maine Lobster Bake.
So what do you think? I would love some feed back and to hear what you are looking for in a retreat. We are planning on the second week in September
So send along your thoughts ( what kind of class’s, projects, fun games, etc). In 30 days we will put all the thoughts together, pick our favorite suggestion and the winner will be sent a By The Bay prize pack. Several charts and a Faux painted frame.
Thanks for your help and I really appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Update #2
Good Morning. I was a sleepy head this morning. It felt so good. But its such a nice day, we need to get outside and get some fresh air. But before we do I wanted to update you on my progress. I wanted to do satin stitches for the basket but that didn't work. I finished it and then didn't like it so I took it all out last night. This morning I decided to try the Rhodes stitch for the darker squares. Like that much better and I cross stitched the Bunny's tail but added french knots on top. Now to start bunny #2.
Have a great day

Update on Bunny
Well I don't have to go to work today until 1:00pm so I thought I get a jump on weekend cleaning. But I had to tear myself away to show you a picture of my Bunny's progress. I decided to stitch him on 16ct Aida cloth. The first one is almost finished and I was thinking of adding some french knots to his tail and on the basket some straight stitches to make it look like wicker from a basket.
Have a great day and I will post more progress this weekend.

Free Bunny Chart for 2010
Well here is my bunny pattern. I love the look of the vintage chocolate molds. They remind me of my young days, going to the chocolate shop at Easter and seeing all of the huge chocolate bunnies.
I thought with this one I would try to stitch it facing left and facing right. Cut them out and sew them together, stuff and weight the bottom. Maybe even have the basket stitched as to have it open and fill with flowers.
I cant wait to try it. I hope you will post your progress on your blog and email me so I can check it out. I will post my progress for you and see what happens. Maybe you can even send me a picture of your finished bunny so I can share on the blog. Be creative in your finishing.
Good Luck and lets share our stitching experience and ideas.

Just click on the chart or charts and print from your computer. I tried it and it works.
