Stumpwork, wool work class for Salty Yarns,

Happy Thursday, I have been working on the class for Salty Yarns. I redid the flower once, redid the center of the flower 2x's, redid the stem, and redid the leaves. Yes, I keep trying until I find something I like. I dont give up, just pull it apart, throw it away, and start again. So I am happy with it, just a couple of finishing touches on hanging it around your neck or just leaving it for your purse. It's either for  glasses, or scissors and it even has an extra pocket inside for a little stash of cash or a money card :) I have seen some photos of blue poppies and that is what I made, I do love the orange ones but the blue was calling me. So this class has a little stumpwork and some wool too. I hope every one will enjoy it, and I am off to make kits, load models, and pack charts.

Just opened my new By The Bay Crochet Art Shop

Good evening everyone. I just opened my new shop dedicated to crochet. It is so hard finding available names for blogs and Etsy to match but I did. Since this is called By The Bay Needle Art my other is called By The Bay Crochet Art. Easy to remember :). I have only 4 flowers posted so far but much more to finish fixing and adding to the shop. These are all my own patterns and designs with little accessories added. I might sell the patterns in the future but not yet. I love to stitch but I can not see so well at night even with my OTT light, so to make it less stressful I crochet in the evenings and this is my little shop to share all of my creations. So please take a look and check back often, I will be adding more flowers and other delights soon. Have a good night

Owl and wool feather tree for classes at Camp wool

I just finished getting together the class descriptions and photos of my finished projects to teach at Camp Wool.
The wool feather tree includes the green metal base that I just love and I  added a tiny bird to the class too. Can never have enough birds and speaking of birds the other class is an owl. They are so popular this year so I thought he would make a great addition to decorate with or use as a pincushion. I just finished him about an hour ago and now to put  make all of the directions and remake him so I can take photos as I go. That is a project for later this week. I have to work on the class for Salty Yarns tomorrow.
But here are my photos to share with you today,

Thank you for stopping by, donna

2012 Annual Free Pumpkin Head Chart is Here!! KITTY

Happy Monday to all of you, I have posted for you my annual freebie for the Pumpkin Head Family. I have added this year a cat to the clan. He also found a little snack that is hanging from his tail (Maybe it will be a friend instead). If you stitch this on 14ct Aida or 28ct linen over 2 it measures 2 x 4. So with a 1/2 inch extra all around this will fit perfect in a 3 x 5 frame. Just click the word kitty below to be taken to the PDF file for your design and print from home.
If you would like to change the kitty he would look great in some calico colors, or maybe white spots or you can change his color totally and make him to match your kitty at home. Have fun and I hope you enjoy him

Found a blog with a great tutorial for small crochet flowers with floss

Good morning everyone, I said that I would add the directions for the small crocheted flowers that I applied to the frame for "Garden of Wildflowers" but I have had no time at all, SORRY!! As I was searching on the computer this morning for something I stumbled upon a great blog with directions that I think you can use, and she uses floss so here is a link to her blog, check it out, and maybe it will be helpful for you if you want to make small crocheted flowers out of floss.
have a good day and happy stitching or crocheting, whatever is your thing, HAHA!!

Just Cross Stitch Mag and a giveaway

Hi everyone, I cant believe summer is over and the kids are back in school already. That went by fast. I have been feeling a bit burned out that is why I have not blogged in a while. Hubby is still in the hospital so often and we pray for that miracle and I believe it will happen. My faith is growing on this journey but no one said it was going to be easy. I am sure you all have trials too. Each one of us have things to face. I usually  use my stitching to comfort me and of course my chips and dip, haha! But I have been crocheting instead. I have so many flowers to sell on my new Etsy shop that I will open in a couple of weeks. I sent some stitching out to April and she finished the model, I will frame it this week and share it with you by Saturday. Its called "Spot of the Bay". So that is what has been happening, a bit of this and a bit of that and a bit of nothing but alot  of thinking. I have a giveaway for you!!! I made a model for the Just Cross Stitch Halloween Edition. They sent it back to me and I would like to give it away with a copy of the magazine. So please leave me a comment and I will add your name to the hat and have a drawing for it on Sunday
Thank you for reading my rambling and have a good day
