Ok, I couldn't wait to show you the rest so I just sped up the days 7-10 :)
Stitch An Inch Spring Orni's

These are the 9 finished designs for Spring, I hope you enjoyed them and charts will be ready late next week. They were so much fun finishing as little embellished pieces.
I was at Yankee Cross Stitch the other day doing a little arranging and adding more charts to the endless trunk show.......check it out if you are in the area.

Have to pick up my grandson from school today and pick up charts from the printer.....then it is time to fold and bag.......I cant wait to share with you a peek of my next quick crazy spring design. I should have something to share by Sunday......have a good day!!

Stitch An Inch Spring Orni Day #6

Stitch An Inch Spring Orni
This little pillow was made with no particular size in mind. I placed my fabric on the table with  the cross stitched piece... I moved it around until I found a spot that was just right :)
I stitched it in place with a whipped stitch and then embellished the fabric design images with stitching.........using stem stitches, french knots, and lazy daisy stitches.........added some buttons....then stitched a piece of backing fabric (I always use a piece of wool..so my edges will not  fray)..........turned the right side out and stuffed with fiberfill....but walnut shells would be a great idea too.
I did the cross stitching on 28ct natural linen over 2 with 3 strands of thread.
So these Stitch An Inches are really 2 inches.
More tomorrow !!

Stitch An Inch Spring Orni's Day #2

Stitch An Inch Spring Orni
This is one of the designs finished as  pin.......i cut 2 pieces (2 x 3) of Warm & Natural batting for the background............cut out a couple of leaf designs from my upholstery fabric, stitched them down with the whip stitch, then added the cross stitched bird on top using the whip stitch with perle cotton......... added some lazy daisy stitches to the corner for leaves along with beads..........and i found some buttons from my stash to match the bird.........then I placed the other piece of batting to the back to hide my stitching and used a running stitch with matching thread to sew them together.........last i added 3 jump rings to the top section. evenly spacing them .....sew them down and tie with knots to connect them to my very large pin. All done.....and more to share tomorrow :)

Stitch An Inch Spring Orni Finishing IDEA Day #1

Good morning,
I am going to be sharing my peeks and finishing ideas for some spring ornaments.
You are invited to come back for the next 10 days to view my finishes. There are 9 Stitch An Inch designs and I will share 1 a day, but for the first day I am sharing with you some of  the supplies  I used.

I used some upholstery fabric that I had samples of and gathered up buttons and beads.

Matching  stitched pieces with fabric choices and fibers.

What could I be making ?
check back tomorrow for a look at a finished ornament or ?

Section #3 flying in tomorrow evening very late :)

A little pun on words :). Yes section #3 of the "Serenity Harbor Sampler" will be sent out Monday night very late so you will have them by the 3rd. This section has the 3 seaside birds flying in for a visit :)

Here is a delivery I received last week. The delivery person left it in the snow and never knocked on the door to tell us it was there, we were home and it was a good thing we just happened to look outside.
It is a very large box with 1400 pieces of cardboard.....what could this be for?? maybe I am starting to gather things for that special kit for the end of the year :)

I have been very stitching lately.....for tomorrow evening I volunteered to make kits and teach 12 ladies from a local church some wool applique and make eye glass cases......so I have been busy making a pattern, gathering up wool, needles, threads, and samples. Should be fun, a quite relaxing time with the girls :)

I also have another "Stitch An Inch Spring Orni" chart that I worked on. Here are the samples I made.....I stitched some over 1 and others over 2, but it is the finishing that will really make them different. So that is my project to work on and should be ready by the end of the week to share photos with you.

I did finish the other square design that I shared a bit ago but I just need to make the directions on how to finish and then I will share that too. So I have busy hands working away.
More to share soon
Have a good day or night (depending on were you live)
