A Time to Gather

 Good morning everyone, 

I have an invitation for you. 

I have been trying to get a place for crafters to gather, and have friendship. 

We attend a church called "First Christian Church of Kittery Point" located in Kittery Maine. 

They have allowed me to start a "Sewing/Craft Bee"

Tomorrow Tuesday Nov 15th will be the first day we will get togather. The location is at 542 Haley Road in KitteryPoint Maine, its a little white church with parking in the back. 

We can meet from 12 - 2:30, We will have light refreshments, coffee, and tea. If you would like to join us please just send me an email at          stitch by the bay @ aol dot com    this is so I will know approx how many people will attend, also if you have a refreshment you would like to share that would be wonderful too but please do not feel obligated.

 This time will be for us to bring our crafts such as sewing, crochet, knitting, cross stitch, rug hooking, embroidery or what ever you are working on and make friends.

I am planning on meeting once a month for now and we can see what the future brings. The next date planned  will be Tuesday Dec 6th.

 Hello Fellow Stitchers, 

I want to thank everyone that participated in the “Home Sweet Home” Stitch-A-Long. I enjoyed seeing your progress and some of your changes. It makes my heart happy when I see you make them truly your own.

 I am working on another Stitch-A-Long…..Alphabet themed ….maybe?

 Future Release Plans for Home Sweet Home:

Just a quick note to anyone that wanted to stitch the “Home Sweet Home” designs…..these will be released starting in December as individual charts.

I will release 2 in December and then 3 the next and then 2 again until they have all been released.  

 Also there has been a discounted price for Stitch-A-Long participants, and this will be ending on October 8th with the release of the last “Home” in the Series.

Since these are individual patterns and not everyone will want to stitch the Design as a large project the “Layouts” will be extra $10.00 …And the price will be increased from $7.00 each Home to $9.00 each Home.

 If you were interested in the “Home Sweet Home” design series this would be a good time to sign up, before the price increase.

The last Home will be released Oct 8th…….So that is the LAST DAY!!!

 And Happy Fall!!! I just love this time of year…

The shop is back open

 

We had a few days at our Daughter and Son In-Law's camp at the Lake...it was a nice break!!

But I am back and re-opened the Etsy shop...

Vineyard Summer is ready to go...

And the Design Card is included in the pattern pack but it is limited to the first 250.

 Rolling hills and white picket fences can be seen. 

The sun is shining, and the cool ocean breeze is blowing, can't you feel it? 

The sailboats are on their way out to sea for the day.

Home Sweet Home Release is "Willow Spring"

I have had a busy summer so far, and I did finish "Vineyard Summer". 

Now to frame it, photograph it and then directions, and off to the printer :)

Mister Turkey as a PD for Cross stitch only, Etsy shop

 

Happy Wednesday

I just made Mister Turkey as a PDF for the Counted Cross Stitch Pattern.

It is available as a counted cross stitch design, embroidery design and a punch needle design all as a set but I just separated the cross-stitch design.

So its in the Etsy Shop/PDF for cross stitch as a separate design.

And oh my HAHA it is early for fall stitching!! but it does take time!!

Home Sweet Home Stitch A Long Newest Release

 

This is the newest release for the Home Sweet Home Stitch A Long.

"Meadow Brook Hill"

An overshadowing hill with 3 large trees 

looking over the Blue Homestead by the river. 

And I do see a small sailboat drifting along the shore maybe heading on over to the river.

 And of course there is one lone lamb grazing by the little white picket fence, 

so content!!

This little design with lots of Blues, Greens and Beige.

for most of the New Designs coming out.

They can be used to hang on Project Bags to know what project is inside, or how about hang them from a Floss Ring to keep track of the fibers for the design.

AND

On The back I have made room to fill in some important information about the stitching project.

When the stitching is finished these Cards can be Collected and kept in a Special place or they can be secured to the back of the finished and framed work.

Happy Day!!, This is a free design that I gave away long ago in 2008,

 I have revised it to give away today.

The original was made to give to a friend as a Christmas Gift

but I have changed the saying in the back to

 “When This You See Remember Me”

 

There is a place in the back of this floss tag for you to stitch your initials, along with more small roses, hearts, and the saying.

 I did make mine into a floss tag but you can do whatever you would like with it!!

 

 BE Creative

 

The center for the roses and leaves is left blank for you to choose your own floss centers.

The outline for these areas is in the design but the centers are up to you.

I used some over-dyed floss and some different stitches such as eyelets and some over one stitching.

 

The stitch count is 49 wide by 35 high for one side

28ct over (2)  or 14ct Aida            3.5 x 2.5

32ct over (2)  or 16ct Aida           3 x 2.18

A New Release for the Nashville Needlework Market

Since I am not going to the Nashville Show myself, 

 Yarn Tree will be taking one of my 

new designs called "A Homestead Welcome"

 It has a little Country Feel with my favorite sheep, some extra tall and different trees

also, I added a Primitive wool applique like border, but yes, it is cross stitched. 

I designed mostly with DMC with a couple of Weeks Dye Works added.

They are "Blue Spruce & Gold" 

If you are interest in this new design,

ask your Local Needlework Shop to order it for you from Yarn Tree,

I will not have it available until sometime in April 18th.

The newsletters just went out and this was one of the announcements!!

The Pins will be going in the Mail on Monday to the shops that have ordered some!

I can't wait to share the photos of The Funky Flower ones also...

New Product line Coming Out Soon!!

I wanted to introduce you to something new that I will be carrying.

By The Bay “Collector Pins”

Lots of people collect things, especially cross stitch charts,

fabric, and all sorts of fabulous fibers,

along with magnets to secure their needles.

So I thought why not “Pins/Brooches”!!

The first one that is being released is “I Am A Needlesmith”

This cute pin measures 2 ¾  x 1 ¾ , A great size to pin on a jacket or on a stitchers project bag, or maybe start a collection and display them…or to keep with your framed counted cross stitch piece.

The next one for release will be the “Funky Flower Collection”

as a whole design with the white background

…this one will measure 1 ¼ x 1 ¼ inches.

Keep an eye out for them and check with your local Needlework Shop.

They will also be available in the By The Bay Etsy shop .

They will be heading out to shops Feb 14th
