Peek @ New Funky Flower and BEE KIND

Good morning,
I spent most of yesterday moving the shop around. Moving the Christmas section and the floss wall.
I plan on having some needlepoint in the shop some time in February, so I have to plan my space carefully because there's not much of it.
I have a peek of a new funky flower and my new BEE KIND.
I figure everyone is making New Year resolutions and this is one of the best ones anyone could make. To just think before you speak or act and make sure it is in a kind manor. I think people need to be reminded that what they say to someone has a profound effect on them so lets make sure it is something that is helpful and not hurtful. That is my resolution and also to SLOW DOWN. Enjoy the moments and the journey because as they pass they don't come back around.
I am off to have breakfast, do a little shop talk and work on those BEE KIND directions.

Hi everyone, I just want to say thank you for reading my blog. I do check out so many but do not always leave messages. I need to work harder on that.

I have been working on a chart for a New Years resolution. I hope you like it. I just have to frame it and then I will post a picture. I will be releasing it on my Etsy shop for January and then to the distibutors in February. I have also finished one called "Peony Hill" and 2 more Funky Flowers. Trying to stay busy to keep away those after Holiday blues.

Did I ever tell you that I love bags. Some people love shoes, otheres love hats, sun glasses, etc. But the cat and I love bags. My daughter Meagan bought me a nice big Vera Bradley bag and the cat has tried to claim it. HAHA!!

On a more serious :( note, I believe in the power of prayer and my husband needs some. He has been in the hospital since Nov 28 and they are not sure what to do for him so they are sending him tomorrow to another hospital. They think he might need part of his underlying facial skin removed. Infections that wont stop plus other complications. So if you remember him in a prayer I would so appreciate it and so would he. Thank you

Holiday Open House & Sneak Peek

Good Morning everyone,
I have a photo to share with you of my winter scene.( The picture is a little dark) I am stitching like a mad woman on this to have it completed by this week. But this weekend the village is holding a Holiday Open House for all of the shops and a "Parade of Lights" this evening. So at the shop I have refreshments, and raffles. I am making out slips for everyone that bought something on my Etsy shop from November thru December 19th and including you in the raffle. There are 2 raffles with 5 Holiday charts in each along with a made by me Christmas decoration.

I just finished posting some of my Merry Christmas Kits on my Etsy shop. So check them out. I only made 20 of these. It was fun making them too, so maybe there will be more different ones coming in the future.

New Primitive Kits Coming Soon

Hi everyone, I have been working on some kits for the shop and I figured I would make some available on Etsy too. These will be limited to 20. They should be ready by next week. Just in time for Black Friday shopping(maybe sooner ).

I had fun dyeing some green 32ct linen that I had. I used my morning left over coffee, and then later in the day I boiled some cranberry's and sprinkled away. So there are spots of pink on the linen.

My Long Legged New Friend & A Fun Workshop

Yesterday was a "Be Creative Day" for me. So I got out some wool that I have been using for other things in the shop and made a very long legged Holiday bird.

I enjoyed making him so much and I have more ideas for him that I decided to give a workshop for this long legged creature. So if you live close by and would like to just hang out one of these Saturdays soon, just give me a call for a date and time. (Still working on my calendar)

Oh I also want to share a photo of my helper today. We had our grandson last night and today. He had fun at the shop, playing and helping. He made sure that everyone that came in knew were the candy dish was.

"Sam The Snowman" will be arriving soon!!

Good Morning,

I have finished Mr Snowman. I gave him a name "Sam". He looks so happy with his friends. I have been working on another Funky Flower "Cassandra". I will post a picture of her on Monday.

And I am off to work on another design called ?. I really do not know yet. Maybe you can help me. I will post pictures of my progress and you can think about names.

(Hint) Its a winter scene with a sleigh and a horse, houses in the snow and of course a village with the ocean in the background. Wow that was a big hint! As I post peeks you think about it until I ask for suggestions and the winner will receive the chart free in the mail before it goes to market.

New Wool Ornaments On Etsy and I Had 4 Very Nice Visitors

What a nice cold evening it is here. I have added some wool ornaments that I made today to my Etsy shop for your Holiday shopping. And just a note that for every order on Etsy between now and Christmas I will send you a free cross stitch chart.(Sorry you can't pick, it has to be a surprise)

It was a nice surprise today to have 4 ladies from Albany NY come in to visit. They were a lot of fun and all were very photo friendly. Here is one of the pictures that was taken. Hope they come back again. Maybe we can have stitching night together. (HA HA) To far. Well I can only hope for a fun bunch like them to stitch with.

Update on Funky Flower Fridays and a sneak peek @ Mr Snowman

Here is a pic of my progress on my Funky Flower Garden. Wish I had more done but this is it and I am working hard, I want to get 3 flowers done by next Friday. Wish Me Luck!

And here is a peek at my other new design. This one will be done by next weekend also. Guess I have a lot of stitching to do. Time to get out the Ott Light.

A little angel

Good morning. I am posting a picture of a little angel I made the other day. I have so many corks that I received from an old friend that I have to do something productive with them. So I made some reindeer ornaments and now I am making scissor fobs with funky wool flowers on them and on to my angel ornaments for the Holidays. So here is a picture of one. I used shrinky dink and a crystal to hang. Have a happy creative day

All Framed And A New Poinsettia For Another Class

Hi everyone. I spent some time today changing a little section in the store for Christmas. Brought it forward and added some ornaments. I also finished a poinsettia in a watering can for a class to be taught in this shop and at Yankee Cross Stitch. I have a better picture for you of the sunflower. It is so nice out, I hope you all had a nice Halloween.

Made the BEE

Well I followed Erik's suggestion and made a bee for the frame instead of a butterfly. I do like it but it was to dark by the time I got home to take a good picture. Here is the one I did take. I will take more tomorrow of the whole thing. Have a good night

Wool And Stumpwork Pic

I am sharing a partial picture of a class that I am going to give at the shop.
It still needs a snail in the grass and the frame needs some more work. I was going to add a butterfly to the frame (MAYBE). I always make changes as I go.

A Little More Stitching Fun

I have been spending more time at the shop so I have been able to do a little bit more stitching. I made some adjustments to Santa the other day by making him on 18ct linen and adding different stitches and today I finished with the house. I worked it on 18ct linen and added french knots and some Rhodes stitches. I finished it with some wool leaves and flowers with beads.

This is just something I did on my own. The directions found in the chart are just for cross stitching. I just made these up to give you different ideas on how to make them yourself and to use them as models for classes in the shop. Hope they inspire you for finishing and just having fun.

I also have some scissor fobs that I made and I will be adding to my Etsy Shop this weekend, so check back for Etsy updates.

Playing With Santa

I opened the shop this week and I have some photos to share with you. Still trying to get them up. I did try the other day with photobucket and then something happened and the computer got a virus. So 3 days without it and $130.00 later I am being so careful about how I do searches.

I just edited this post because I am sooo happy. (OH I just did it. I added a page to my blog so just click on the link above that says to click on it to visit the shop. YEAH!)

I have a couple of photos to share with you of one of the Santa's that is in my new design called "Santa's Blessings" I worked him on 18ct over 2 (Natural linen). I did a few different stitches and finished him into a pocket. I just love to play with different stitches.
